My first confession is that I didn’t get out of bed this morning for my run. It was too cozy (although, it would have been the PERFECT morning for a run!). Looks like I’ll be doing some speedwork tonight on the dreadmill! I have been avoiding both speedwork and the treadmill — so I need to suck it up.
My Wednesday confession this week is pretty silly — I actually *enjoy* some of the shows my kids watch. OK, maybe even a little obsessed with them (in a healthy, parental way, of course).
The first show is just SO CUTE. If we are going to watch TV as a family, this is the show I prefer to watch (and thankfully it’s On Demand!).
Season 3 premieres March 4th! I’m ready for some new episodes. Disney loves to play them over and over and over again.
I love this show because it’s quirky, educational, and funny. There are also really cool dance numbers. They even did a musical episode! Bravo to Disney for picking up this series. I think it’s their way of recognizing that their viewers are not dumb, humorless blobs. By the way – where’s Perry?
Another show I like…
Truthfully, I think I like this more than my kids. It’s adorable though and a great take on the “wizarding world” without copying off of Harry Potter. Selena Gomez is the least annoying teen star out there, and is actually very likeable. Plus (or minus?) she is dating The Biebs. The kid who plays the youngest kid (Max – yes, I know character names) has great comedic timing. If you watch HIMYM, you will reconize the oldest kid (ok, I think he’s actually in 20s, so he’s not really a kid anymore).
and of course…I will always have a special place in my heart for this show…
Of course, this is the show that all other childen programs compare themselve to — and how could you not? It’s a staple in American (and I think Canadian?) television! It’s amazing how Seasame Street still keeps themselves current. It’s hilarious to watch some of the older shows!
Secret, secret confession — I don’t mind watching Hannah Montanta. Miley Cyrus is slightly annoying, but the show itself really isn’t that bad.
So there you have it — my confession for this week. Are there any kids shows YOU secretly love?

How funny! I made my facebook status “Hey, where’s Perry?” this morning, before I even saw your post!
I LOVE Wizards! And Good Luck Charlie- that’s another family favorite at our house.
Too funny!!
And yes, Good Luck Charlie is cute too. “Charlie” is around the same age as L. It would be really nice to have some teenagers around to raise her. Ha ha.
I kinda like SpongeBob. hee!
SpongeBob is one of my least favorites. I think it’s because Patrick is SO DUMB. lol.
Now don’t go thinking I know the character’s names or anything. LOL I’ve seen about 4 episodes and remember laughing during them.
Hee! Where you high? Patrick is the starfish and he is really stupid.
I love your confession for the day. I watch all those shows with my kids (or without them if they aren’t around.) The entire family loves them. Even Paul! I hope that the dreadmill workout isn’t too rough on you today!
Glad I’m not the only one!
I didn’t know you started blogging! Off to read
haha, I love Sesame Street and I dont even have kids. I have the cutest nutrition education video done be Sesame Street!
I can’t think of any current shows but I used to really like Teletubbies, even though I was 16 at the time!
That’s awesome! Ha ha. I have to admit they freak me out a little bit — especially that laughing baby.
I was watching with a friend’s kid…so yes I was high!
High on kids! WOOOT. That’s called life. Ha ha.
