I *Heart* Productivity

Thank you for your suggestions on healthy lunches today!! I have lots of ideas swirling in my head – and will try to share them once they come to fruition (and I got food shopping next weekend!) :)

Today was one of those days where the hours just FLEW by.

It started with a kickass run. It wasn’t super speedy and it was really humid – but I held pace for almost the entire run – except the last mile when I had to stop and let myself into my neighborhood!

  • Mile 1 – 9:31
  • Mile 2 – 9:26
  • Mile 3 – 9:25
  • Mile 4 – 9:28
  • Mile 5 – 9:32
  • Mile 6 – 9:39

6 miles 56:58/9:30 pace

I seriously felt GOOD about this run. It’s amazing what a positive attitude and outlook can do!! I went into this run just KNOWING I was going to rock it (even if I really wasn’t feeling the run initially).

I then went home, tried to figure out how to install B’s booster seat (little guy is moving up!), cursed furiously because there weren’t any directions on what to do, and then rushed around like a crazy person to leave the house by 8:10 (good news – I made it!).

I was busy from the minute I logged in at work and it didn’t stop  – except for lunch at Hummus House…

{I also discovered Instagram!! <3}

and then a stop at Jeremiah’s (Coconut Ice with Chocolate Ice Cream – O.M.G.). Ummm…I might need an intervention on both of those places guys. Seriously.

After work and the chiro I came home to some super whiny kids READY to eat. So I pulled out my newest obsession and made a fantastic salad for dinner…

Chickpea Strawberry Mango Salad. I could have eaten the Pumpkin-Spice Roasted Chickpeas all by myself, but I decided to share. And it’s a good thing I did because this dinner was a winner! {Winner winner chickpea dinner?}

I also got something VERRRRRRY exciting in the mail today…

My little brother is REALLY getting married! This wedding has been in the works for a while – but getting the save the date made it so real! The cutest part of the STD? The little picture of the Seminole and the Gator (with the mileage to get there from the wedding site). ‘Noles and Gators (rivals to the core!) can get a long – true story!

Now’s about the time I sit back, relax, watch a little Mad Men, and catch up on the 100 blogs I haven’t been able to read or comment on today. Sorry, but I <3 productive days!!

Do you have a favorite college mascot? Anyone else excited about college football? If you run – would you rather run fast or feel really good about your run??

      It was delicious! I don’t usually mix strawberries and cranberries – I was surprised at how tasty it was!!

      I’m so glad you FINALLY got your book – I didn’t feel guilty about posting about dinner tonight – hee!

      I think I knew that you went to UF. I try not to judge people based on that – ha ha! I graduated from FSU for both my undergrad and grad school – best college experience ever! We love to hate each other – and I think that’s part of the fun. I CANNOT wait for football season to start!

    Jeremiah’s is my favorite place to get dessert and I still need to try hummus house! Maybe I’ll finally make it over sometime this week.

    Great run! I’m working on getting faster and will hopefully be seeing splits like yours sometime in the not too far future.

    Salad look yum! I just got Peas and Thank You too. Haven’t made anything yet, but I have bookmarked a bunch of recipes!

      Make is a double whammy like me :)

      I bet you can get where I am! I don’t think I’m super fast by any means – but I’ve increased my speed drastically in the past year! It’s all about consistency, tempo runs, and speedwork. The trifecta!

      Her recipes are so good and easy!

    Aw congrats to your little brother :) I’m the baby in my family and still have my older brother in line before me– but if he waits much longer I’m not sure if that will be happening haha

    And I’m very excited about football season! I’m not the biggest fan of the UCF team because they arent too good, but boy do I love me a good tailgating :)

    There are some things that you should not shorten. When you said: “The cutest part of the STD?” that made me crack up. I am such a nerd.

      Hee :) But’s that’s what it’s called on all of the wedding planning sites – I assure you :) I’m not making it up!!
