This is probably going to be (one of) the most random posts I’ve ever written because I have been keeping busy these last few days. Let’s categorize…
For the first time in a LONG time I have actually followed my workout plan to a tee. Well, maybe not to a tee, but I followed it! Tuesday mornings tempo run was crazy slow (9:50ish pace), but at least I got up and did it and I maintained that tempo pretty much the entire time. Wednesday was ellitpical and upper body (I went up in weights!) and THEN I got my booty out of bed this morning and ran my 5 X 1000 at an 8:30 pace. I tried to talk myself out of EVERY.SINGLE.WORKOUT this week, but didn’t give in. Marathon Training Michelle doesn’t approve of skipping.
Tomorrow is a much needed rest day, followed by a light workout on Saturday — and then a quick and easy 23 miles on Sunday. Sounds better when I refer to it like that.
I wasn’t supposed to be drinking this week. But then this happened…
It was my friend Carol’s 40th birthday. I couldn’t let her drink alone, could I?
I just HAD to celebrate with her.
The Twitterverse agreed with me, so at least I had support.
Thanks ladies 🙂
L decided I was cool this morning (it’s hit or miss) and was very excited when she got to dress up like my mini twin.
Purple flowers are pretty awesome. So is having a mini twin 🙂
Too bad she got ketchup all over her dress at dinner. #parentingfail
I must be craving some serious protein because I had eggs for lunch AND dinner today.
We continued the celebration of Carol at Keke’s Breakfast Cafe. It’s a local chain – and a new one just opened in Waterford.
It was delicious! I don’t have any pictures of the food, but I got a mushroom, spinach, and onion omelete with home fries. I’m pretty sure I could eat those home fries all day, every day.
Of course, the company wasn’t bad either 🙂
For dinner I made a veggie egg casserole.
There was a lot of drama surrounding dinner tonight (super cranky kids – surprise, surprise), but this was seriously easy to whip up and bake. And enjoy with a ton of ketchup, because yes, I’m weird like that.
Tomorrow the hubby and I are going on a DATE! Yes, you date again when you’re married and have kids. We don’t know where we are going – but somewhere for dinner and drinks. So excited! I think the last date we went on was to see Harry Potter in July. It’s been a while!
If you’re married, do you go out on dates? Or are we the only crazy ones who call it that?
Do you put ketchup on your eggs?
