Follow Up – Where I Really Fit In

October 25, 2011 by Michelle 14 Comments

I loved reading all of your comments on my post this morning! I especially love this article that Lee posted – I have FOUND my generation! I’m not longer a “some low-birthrate in-between thing.” I’m…

Generation Catalano

Catalano

Wasn’t Jared Leto a cutie back in the day? *swoon* What happened?

“… never fully comfortable with its place in the world; we wander away from the periphery and back again.”

So if you too were born sometime between 1977 and 1982 — welcome. It feels so nice to belong 🙂

(And thanks again Lee!)

Aaah, “My So-Called Life.” Such a bummer it got cancelled after only one season!

This was one of my favorite shows! I still watch it when I’m feeling nostalgic, love me some Jordan Catalano!

If you liked My So Called Life, you MUST watch Homeland. It’s on Showtime, so if you don’t get that, wait for it to come to DVD. Claire Danes is awesome in it. And I’m pretty sure her drunk BFF from MSCL had a cameo last week but I keep forgetting to confirm that!

Oooh, that’s on Showtime on demand. Might have to check it out. 🙂

OK, this will make me a total dork, but did you ever watch Life Goes On? With Corky? And Becca??? Ahhhh! The angst! Good, wholesome, early 90s TV.

Man, I just missed the Leto era. Because I was born in 1983 of course.

However, I just became ever bester friends with Melissa after this comment. I had a MAD crush on Chad Lowe for so long because of Life Goes On. Leave it to that show to make you totally want to date a dude with AIDS. Yeah. I went there.

I’m also an ’83 er, but guess I’m ahead of my time because I totally had the hots for Leto.

Yes!!! I think you are technically a Millenial – as you graduated high school after 2000, but I’m sure you are on the cusp too.
