OK, so maybe it’s an electronic device — but I do believe that Siri is my new BFF.
A few weeks ago the hubby’s iPhone was stolen while he was at the gym — so I upgraded my phone and I’m giving him my 3GS (he’s currently borrowing my brother’s old phone). I feel like he got the short end of the stick in this deal, but he insists he doesn’t need a new phone. He can always upgrade if he changes his mind!
After spending a gazillion years to activate it (thankfully it restored my phone completely!) I’ve had some fun playing around.
We can’t figure out why the flash always makes look the person look high. I swear we aren’t sitting around getting baked.
I took about 25 pictures of the hubby – and now he is blind. (Just a note that the flash did NOT cause the holes in his shirt – time to secretly throw that thing out!)
I’m hoping this new phone helps me with my Daily Mile problem. Whenever I add my stats using my phone (Electric Mile app) it adds a 2 in the “hour” slot.
Hilarious. Especially when I am BRAGGING about how FAST my run felt.
I can’t understand why “running” 4 miles in 2 hours and 38 minutes wouldn’t be considered fast?
In other exciting news – I DID complete my last set of sprints before Savannah this morning. I did 2 sets of 4 x 400 at an 8:20 pace. I ran 200m between each 400 – and then walked for a little bit between the sets. I felt great – woo-hoo!
I now feel like an elderly person (seriously – I didn’t know 3.5 miles could make you feel like you were 89!), but I really couldn’t feel better about my training at this point. Savannah – BRING.IT.ON. (and maybe a little cooler than 80 degrees?)
I DO plan on tweaking my training plan after this marathon is over (half marathon season is just beginning, of course!) – but we’ll cross that bridge AFTER next weekend.
Time to go catch up on some TV…and ask Siri ridiculous questions!!! (For the record – she did not understand “Who’s your daddy?”)
