Happy November! Ummm…where has the year gone??
Halloween 2011 has come and gone – and I’d say it was a successful one!
I dressed up as a runner at work…
Those were the longest running shorts I owned. I kinda felt like a hooch. At least I’m good friends with a pimp.
It was a stretch. Actually, it was a GREAT excuse to wear my compression socks and sneakers to work. Most people were so confused with the compression socks (I got a lot of “nice leg warmers”).
After work, I spent about an hour sitting in traffic. That was awesome. Thankfully, the hubby fed the kids and I got home in time to get the kids ready for trick or treating.
We have a strategy — the hubby takes the kids out first and then we switch. I somehow end up with the longer stretch, but L was actually ASKING for me to take her (what world are we in???), so I didn’t mind.
My little Princess Leia was a complete angel. She loved every minute of TOTing and was so sweet and polite at every door. My little Darth was a different story. He was so excited he would pretty much just say anything he thought of as he saw the neighbors…
When I got him, he whined about how he wanted to go back home. WHAT?
We made it through 2 streets and came home with more candy than we ever need. Because yes, you do NEED candy in your life 🙂 Our neighbors are definitely generous with the candy! I remember getting one piece at each house growing up — and now it’s like 2-3 pieces minimum! I also got to FINALLY meet my neighbor Meghan (who is also a reader!) – who had on the cutest tutu (I’m pretty sure B told her she looked a pumpkin).
When we got back there was candy eaten and enjoyed — and then it was hidden.
We aren’t taking any chances.
How was your Halloween? Did you dress up? Did any 5-year olds harass you??
