Hello from Savannah!!!
We left around 11:30 today and made great time. The hubby drove, which left Paula and I do some serious running talk…or to discuss Ringer, talk about beavers, and in general act like we were 15 again.
Our trip was relatively uneventful, with the exception of a 16-wheeler almost running us off the road. Thankfully the hubby stayed super calm. Paula and I were squealing and having mini-heart attacks.
Around 2 we stopped outside of Jacksonville for lunch and I got ridiculously excited about these new Dip and Squeeze ketchups.
I’m pretty sure it was the highlight of my day.
Around 4:30 we rolled into Savannah and found our hotel. We are at in a pretty sweet area — right across the street from a truck stop! Field trip!!! Surprisingly, the hotel is really nice – each room even has it’s own mini-fridge and microwave (plus free wifi and breakfast)! I’ve paid 3 times as much for a hotel that offered less. Score!
We got ourselves all gussied up (not really) and headed over to Cheddar’s for dinner. We could not believe how inexpensive food is here in GA! How did I forget about this? Maybe it’s the whole no sales tax things?
And now – I’m sitting here watching TV and Paula write her American Horror Story recap. It’s coming soon guys!

Tomorrow includes the race expo, a little Savannah site seeing, and probably some freaking out. The party has just begun!!!
This is kinda last minute – but does anyone have a favorite running/workout song that I just HAVE to add to my list? Help a girl out!!
