Even though the kids did everything possible to drive us INSANE these past 4 days, I loved every minute I spent with them and I am NOT looking forward to returning to work tomorrow. Woomp woomp…
On a happy note – it’s a 4-day work week as we are headed to Vegas early Friday! Woo!! This is our first vacation (alone) in 6 years. Yes, SIX. The last one we went on was a cruise 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise.
Ahhh… so fun. Man, a lot can happen in 6 years!
Unfortunately, I might have pulled my groin muscle while running on Thursday. It bothered me a little after the run, but it felt fine after. Then today, around mile 4, it started hurting again. It didn’t get any worse (or better, for that matter) so I finished my 10, but it’s definitely still aching. I’ve iced it and I’m trying to decide what my workouts are going to consist of this week. The ultimate goal is to run a half marathon next Sunday, so I might we doing a lot of elliptical or walking on the treadmill. Awesome.
Here’s my “ideal” schedule.
- M – 3 mile recovery
- T – 5 mile tempo
- W – Upper Body
- R – 5 miles easy
- F – Travel day!
- S- Does drinking & gambling count as a workout?
- S – 13.1 miles on the Las Vegas Strip
- Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine
- Egg Scramble with Hashbrowns
- Boca Burgers with Broccoli/Cauliflower
- Roasted Veggie Salad
- Curry Chicken
When’s the last time you went on vacation? Any groin pain advice? (Seriously – I can’t believe this is hitting me NOW when I am running lower mileage!!)
