Over in a Blur

February 5, 2012 by Michelle 9 Comments

How is the weekend over? WAH.

Here’s my weekend in review…

Friday

Yep, that happened. And some Supernatural. No complaints here.

Saturday
The morning started with a spin class with 3 people in it. THREE. 4 including the instructor. Anyone want to spin with me on Saturday? It was a really good class that kicked butt. Kinda sad that there weren’t more people there.

We then headed to Target — which I should point out I haven’t been to for almost 6 weeks! I’m trying to save money – and since a LARGE chunk of my money goes to Target, it’s a good place to avoid. Oddly enough – my friend Heather pulled into the Target parking lot about 5 minutes after us. I can’t remember the last time we hung out at Tar-jay together!

After shopping (I was fairly good — just bought the basics) and lunch we headed over to my Dad’s place. He recently moved to Indian Harbour Beach. I am a fan.

Some people ski in February. I go to the beach.

The kids played in the sand and flew a random kite I had gotten year (possibly years?) ago.

Such a gorgeous day.

My dad kept trying to fix it. I kept reminding him it was free. And it was a kite.

He then “princessed” me. As if.

(thanks goes to Auntie Kat for the ears! B got R2D2 ears.)

Sunday
I met with my running group (it was me, our leader, and another person) for about 14.5 miles. My legs were KILLING me – especially my quads. I think I whined that I didn’t want to be running at least 5 times. Great run though. I just don’t recommend a full week of spin and sprint before a long run. Lesson learned (as if I didn’t already learn that lesson). Still, it was fun to get out there and I was able to eat my body weight in Baked Salt & Vinegar chips today without feeling guilty. Or maybe just half the bag.

After snuggling with the family, I headed over to Paula’s for a few hours this afternoon to help her move to blog to self-hosted. While I might have looked like this (yes, I am really posting this picture)…

Inside I felt like this…

Paula’s blog is still on the fritz. We’ve been trying all day to import her old posts to her new site. It hates us. And by I us I mean me, Paula, and Jason. Jason rocks because he was totally willing to help us even though he hates WordPress. We now owe him a pizza. Or some beer. Or our first born child.

Oh and then that whole Superbowl thing happened. Yes, I’m originally from New England and I’m a Pats fan. I don’t want to talk about it. (But how cute was that M&M commercial?). Madonna was pretty great – although I’m a sucker for Like a Prayer.

I am SOOOOO not ready for another week – but I guess it’s going to happen, huh?

What was your favorite part about the weekend?

I wish I could spend my weekends on beach. It is cool for the kids to fly kites on the beach. The pink cap with cute ears looks nice. I miss eating Baked Salt & Vinegar chips since I ate chips in a long time. Good luck in moving the blog of your friend. Thanks for sharing the wonderful photographs.

8:15 — getting to the gym at 8. I realize it’s kinda far for you 🙂

Some people go skiing in February . . . yeah, that’s what my family did this weekend! My favorite part was, of course, getting my puppy! 🙂

I somewhat hate you for introducing the existence of those chips into my life. Now I must have them. I’m a sucker for S&V!

Looks like you had a great weekend despite the bloggy troubles. That can be so frustrating. I’m jealous of the time you spent at the beach and right there with you on not wanting to talk about the Pats. Ah well.

The weather has been SO hot here – but I REALLY can’t complain about going to the beach in February, right?? 🙂

We FINALLY got the blog stuff figure out – yay!!!

I seriously can’t believe what happened at the end of the game. Seriously.

One of our prop bets during the game was if Madonna would sing like a virgin or not so I was pissed she went with like a prayer instead! I was hoping for a mash-up! And does that cupcake wine really taste like cake? If so I need some pronto.

I’m surprised she DIDN’T go with Like a Virgin!

The wine does not taste like cake – but it’s REAAAAALLY good – especially b/c it costs $8. LOL.

Glad it finally worked and glad to help. 🙂 Despite the issues, once everything is at 100%, hopefully Paula will see the benefits of self hosting. :o) And I WILL learn PHP so i can dominate it and not let WordPress get the best of me again. haha
