In retrospect, yesterday was a little crazy. After my 14-miler I was able to come home and relax (that’s the beauty of cleaning your house on Saturday because you know your mom is babysitting) but it didn’t last long. After nap time we met the lovely Theresa and her hubby, Ryan, at Columbia House in Celebration.
Who loves blogger meetups? These guys!
Theresa ran the Disney Princess Half that morning and was ROCKING her medal. Too bad I didn’t get any pictures of that, huh? This is the 2nd time I’ve met up with Theresa (the first time was in Vegas) – but this time she got to meet my insane children.
They look all sweet here – but there is a reason we don’t go out to dinner often!
Thankfully, Theresa and Ryan are very kid friendly and were very patient with their antics. It helped that there was sangria involved.
There was good food, Oscar ballots and pajamas! Jackie might have worn Zumba pants. It’s questionable (she denies it):)
Anyone except Paula know where this shirt is from?
We had a great time critiquing the fashion. I LOVE my girl Goopy’s dress (and didn’t even mind the cape!) — and despised Michelle William’s get up. I expect better from her.
I also completely JINXED everyone with my Oscar choices. I suck!
I didn’t get home until after 12 — and then I couldn’t go to sleep. I was so wired. So I watched Jimmy Kimmel. And Oprah.
Love. Since when is Jimmy Kimmel cute?
I somehow made it to bed by 1:30 and managed to get up and go to work today.
One thing I FAILED to do yesterday was go grocery shopping – so I had to rush around like a madwoman at Publix today. I really hate grocery shopping on Mondays. I do have a good menu planned out for the week…
- Tortellini Soup
- Pepperoni Rolls w/Roasted Veggies
- Boca Burger and Sweet Potato Fries
- Panini with Mozzarella/Provolone, Spinach, and Roasted Red Peppers
- Orange/Cranberry Salad with Chicken
- Meatballs with Roasted Cabbage (weird combo I know – you shouldn’t make your shopping lists when you’re hungry!)
I actually made the Paninis tonight with my new Panini Press! (thanks to my Capital One Rewards)
As for workouts — this is RACE WEEK so I’ll be tapering near the end of the week.
- M – Off
- T – 6 miles @ Half Marathon Pace
- W – Spin
- R – 4-5 Miles – Sprints (either 400s or 800s)
- F – Upper Body
- S – Off
- S – Gasparilla Half Marathon!!!
I am really looking forward to the race this weekend. I’m thinking positive thoughts!
So tell me…
Who was your pick for best/worst dressed at the Oscars? What are you eating this week?
