Oh hey there — remember when I used to do this post regularly? Hopefully it will be sticking around (for the next month at least), because that means my life is horribly boring and back to normal, just as it should be. These posts might not be anyone’s favorite (I’m not offended if you see it and move on), but it actually helps me keep track of what I bought at the store each week. The past 3 weeks I’ve spent entirely too much time wracking my brain trying to remember what meals I planned for the week.
Two randoms before I into my menu/workouts. First, is this braid.
This is L’s hair! I did this! I know, I am waaaaay too excited about this, but isn’t it cute? She’s my little Katniss with this braid. I did have to sit her in front of the TV to do it, but the fact that she will sit still for more than 2 minutes is a miracle. I love that I can do this to her hair, because I while I can French braid my own hair (well, when it’s longer) – there’s no way I could do a side braid.
And secondly (and obviously not related to the first), this coffee??
Is my new favorite. I bought last week as a Publix BOGO and it is SO GOOD. Blows my Dunkin Donuts out of the water – and I LOVE DD. Has this been around forever and I’ve just been oblivious?
Gevalia – I *heart* you!
And with that here’s this week’s menu:
- Shrimp Tacos with Guacamole
- Lemon Chicken & Brussels Sprouts (yep, still not over this meal yet)
- Pasta Salad with Arugula, White Beans & Sun Dried Tomatoes
- Turkey & Mozzarella Paninis
- Summer Salad
- Curry Chicken
As for the workouts… I’m am currently goal-less and it’s kinda sad I’m still running and will continue to run, but I’m thinking about turning one of my weekly runs into a bootcamp workout day (my Y offers a 5:30am bootcamp class on Thursday and I’m tempted). B’s soccer also starts this week, which means Saturday spin is on hold. *Sniff* See you in June Saturday spin.
This is the plan for this week:
- Monday – Off
- Tuesday – 5-6 Mile Run
- Wednesday – Spin
- Thursday – Sprints or Bootcamp (what would you do?)
- Friday – Upper Body or Off
- Saturday – 10 mile run with Kelly
- Sunday – Spin
If you run, what do you do during your “off” season? What’s your favorite workout? I need ideas!
