Today REALLY doesn’t feel like Thursday (I originally wrote that it felt like Thursday, when DUH that’s when this was written). In fact, it blows my mind that tomorrow is Friday. Whoa!
1. I contemplated not working out today. My sore throat IS gone (sooo… allergies?) but I didn’t have the energy. Then I realized I probably didn’t have the energy because I’ve been skipping work outs (or half assing them). What goes around, comes around right (or something?). So I talked myself into doing this upper body workout.
And then, decided I could at least run 3 miles. So I hit up the gym (it was thundering – and the treadmill means no bugs in my mouth!) and made it happen. It felt damn good.
2. Also DAMN good?

Ben & Jerry. What, what!!
The best part? I thought I REALLY want ice cream/froyo after those 3 miles, I stopped by Publix on the way home (it’s a tiny bit dangerous that Publix is on the way home from the gym), and that’s when I saw it….
Awwww yeah. (and yes, I enjoyed both kinds tonight!)
3. B had his final performance as a Kindergartener yesterday. He promised me I would cry and I told him he was probably right. Surprisingly I help it in – but I DID feel the tears boiling up when they started singing the first song:
God Bless the U.S.A by Lee Greenwood
I remember my brother’s singing this in elementary school (during the Gulf War) – and here’s my little guy singing it. I’m such a sap. I’m also pretty impressed that they got that many 5-6 years to sing that entire song. And yes, they knew every word (they also sang 4 others!). I don’t think I could have done that when I was 5!
Three Random Questions: How do you convince yourself to workout? What is your favorite flavor of ice cream (mine is Rocky Road!) What song do you remember singing in Elementary School. I remember singing We Are Siamese If You Please in 4th grade.

Well, that song would make anybody bust out in tears. Sweet little kids singing it?–sob! I love your kids.
Thank you
When Kevin’s younger sister was very little, they had to sing God Bless the USA as well, and she would sing it on repeat for hours and hours, so now Kevin hates that song. It always amazes me how anyone could hate that song. It just makes me love America!

LOL about hearing it so much he hates it! I agree – I don’t think it’s possible to hate that song.
