Come on!
It’s hard to believe that it’s this time of year again….Birthday Time!
The end of June and the beginning of July are typically busy for us, and this year is NO different.
Birthday celebrations kinda kicked off on Thursday. Actually, Paula and I had a belated (ummm… 3-months belated) end of race season celebration. Our friend Jackie came too.

What? You don’t take shots while standing in the corner of a Mexican restaurant?
I made her drive out to Margarita’s Grill because I talk about it ALL the damn time – and then we later decided to walk over to East Side Bistro. I’m still not sure that was a great idea as there were more drinks involved.
On Friday, the real celebrations began – it was my hubby’s birthday!

We celebrated with only the important stuff.

Cupcakes, wine, and beer – of course.
We celebrated some more last night.

The kids got to spend a little time with Gran and their Uncle Adam (thanks again guys!) and we enjoyed some drinks…

and dinner at the Bahama Breeze that just opened up nearby.

Dinner was good – but I have to say I used to be more impressed by Bahama Breeze’s food.
The celebrations are NOT over. Oh no – not even close. I have a (totally unrelated) work event tomorrow night, my birthday is Tuesday, and the highlight of my week on Thursday…

Eeeee! Finally!
Please keep your fingers crossed that they actually MAKE IT to Tampa. They’ve been forced to cancel twice before. Third time is a charm, right?
And as if that’s not enough — I’m rounding out the celebration with a girl’s night on Saturday. Watch out Orlando!!
Of course, we also have the 4th of July coming up — and B’s 6th birthday. Yep, the celebrations are JUST beginning.
Now if it would only STOP raining.

I promised my birthday twin some rain for her birthday. Since that promise, FL has been drowned by Tropical Storm Debby – and there’s no rain in Texas. #fail Not that I wish a hurricane upon her state — but the rain needs to go somewhere else. Stat.
What’s the best birthday celebration you’ve ever had? This year might top it for me. I think 34 is going to be an awesome year!!

Yay, you have such a fun week coming up (and last week looked super fun too…love Margaritas and ESB)! Happy birthday, a couple of days early…your birthday is 2 days before my Mom’s.
If it ever stops raining, want to do a morning run this week or next?
My best birthday celebration was probably my 30th. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and close friends threw me a surprise party and then a few weeks later the two of us and our best couple friends went to Vegas for a long weekend. It was such a fun time. So happy to hear your 34th is shaping up to be fantastic!
Wow – 30 sounds it was a GREAT birthday! I’d like to do something like that for 40
Thanks for the birthday wishes — and happy birthday to your mom!!
YES on the run! It looks like this ridiculous rain is sticking around for a few more days – but let me know. I am up for running whenever.
Kim Crawford SB is one of my favorites! So good. And cupcakes? Yum!
I usually don’t do much on my birthday (esp. the last few, VERY low-key) but the last kick-ass one was probably my 21st. HUGE group of friends did a pub crawl in downtown Ft Lauderdale. A lot of fun AND I didn’t get alcohol poisoning. That’s a win in my book

And it looks like all the rain is going to miss us… but we’ll probably get stuck driving through it. And I need a cupcake tomorrow.
