I had no idea what an “Add On” was until I took my first Boot Camp class a month or so ago — and I quickly learned that they are KILLER.
Basically you start a set with two moves/exercises — and then ADD ON. Every time you add on, you start the set over. It gets better though — after you complete the full set, you repeat it once. And then you die when you are done with your workout. Or, in my case you complain ALLLLLL day to your friends and coworkers. They will LOVE IT.
This isn’t the exact Boot Camp workout I did (I only remember how hard it for me to walk for the next 3 days), but it was similar.
Links to videos of the exercises:
- Squat to Press
- Alternating Jumping Lunges
- 1 Legged Bicep Curl
- Knee Jumps
- Deadlifts (straight leg – there are various kinds)
- Plank Rows
- Inchworm
- Spider Man
- Bear Crawl
- Hops – One big hop forward (feet together), two small hops back
- Circle Push Ups
- Cross Legged Sit Ups – Cross your legs, lay all the on the ground and sit up.
- Burpees
- Flutter Kicks
- Chest Press
- Mountain Climbers
- Jumping Jacks
I promise you will be dripping with sweat and CRYING once this workout is over, but you will also feel like a rock star. *worth it*
What’s your favorite strength training exercise? I LOVE deadlifts and anything that involves jumping.
Oh my gosh, that workout looks SO HARD! I’ve never heard of an Add On before, but it looks killer.
It is hard — but it can be adjusted to ANY fitness level (there are always modifications) and you CAN do it 🙂
Looks intense!! You need a workouts tab on your menu bar now! I had never heard of an Add On before either, and now I’m wondering if maybe that was a good thing.
I DO need to add a workout tab. Maybe this weekend when I find some time (ha!).
I think you need to introduce into your life. I’ll say that the workout is NEVER boring.
