You can tell yourself differently, but week 2 is always hard. Week 2 of school, week 2 of work, week 2 of Bootcamp.
The excitement and the novelty has worn off. You’re sore from Week 1 kicking your ass. The Olympics are on until midnight EVERY NIGHT. You put in more than 50 hours at work.
OK, that last one might just me be.
Bottom line — it was a lot harder fitting in my workouts this week — but I still did it. At least, I did most of it.

Thursday was an unexpected rest day. I stayed up to watched Gabby Douglas and Michael Phelps take gold — and there as just no day in hell that I could have made it to a Bootcamp class. I attempted to workout after work, but I got wrapped up in my work, left too late, and saw my bootcamp/spin instructor as I was picking the kids up from daycare. I skipped BOTH of her classes this week — and she let me know she noticed! Doh. (just in case you didn’t think your instructor notices, this was a little reminder to me that they do!)
Honestly, I have no excuses for last week. I still fit in 5 workouts and they still kicked my ass! I pushed myself to my fullest potential, which really is what this Bootcamp is all about. If anything, this week made me realize that ANYTHING I can fit in… is good enough. Especially when your life is rocking your world.

I’m still learning.
This week will continue to be interesting and busy — and from the new, ass kicking, Best Body Bootcamp workouts Tina sent us. Work insanity continues. I have book club (and we’re discussing an AMAZING book!). I am traveling to St. Louis for a night. Someone special is having a baby shower. The Olympics continue. Life goes on.
I’m taking a deep breath now… hopefully it will last all week.

Week 2 is definitely a toughie. I hate when the novelty wears off. Way to get in some great workouts even if you didn’t make it to bootcamp!

Thanks! Thankfully, I have new workouts again this week — so new challenges
Woo-hoo!
I would say you did a great job!!! 5 workouts is plenty and if you still felt challenged, then good to go. I always hate week 2 of things too.
I know I could have done more if I had more time — but something gotta give! I definitely pushed it when I was working out though. Those supersets with the extra sets were KILLER! Looking forward to next workouts this week!
