Three Things Thursday

I’m feeling less Debbie Downer than I was on Tuesday. It’s funny how a few days (and meeting a few deadlines!) can give you a new perspective. I am still in manic mode – but I’m muddling through and next week looks to be waaaaay less stressful. Yay!

So on that note.. it’s time for 3 Things Thursday.

1. My kids are the cutest.

I did not prompt these expressions. LOL.

OK, so I’m completely biased and this is just an excuse to post cute pictures of them, but really they are. Despite being totally grumps this whole week, they have been really sweet like 90% of time. The other 10% is when they are beating each other up and crying because I made them listen to Incubus.

3. I finally got my paws on the Seagrams Seltzer water today and I definitely agree with Miss Blog on the Run that it beats La Croix ANY day. I had the Blackberry Raspberry and YUM!!

This would not be a big deal, but apparently my Publix is the only Publix in Central Florida that isn’t selling this beverage and it’s really ridiculous. I had to go to Target to find it. And then I spent $150. I blame you Publix.

3. I’m currently sitting at the airport on my way to the great arch. Unfortunately, my flight is delayed. Fortunately, there is wine.

Also, people staring at me because I’m sitting really awkwardly at this restaurant. At a really small table facing outward. I feel like I have an audience — and let me tell you, that audience is very diverse.

I am not good at taking stealth pictures with my phone.

People watching is so fun. I’ve seen about 10 fanny packs in the past 20 minutes alone. I had no idea they still existed. I also just saw a guy wearing a shirt that said, “Sexy Bald Guy.” No comment.

Three Random Questions: What’s the cutest thing you’ve seen today? What’s your favorite non-alcoholic beverage? What was your worst flight delay? (mine was in Atlanta…land of bad delays)

Comments

  1. My worst delay was also in Atlanta, on a connecting flight coming home from San Diego on our honeymoon. They changed our gate 3 times, had us running all over the airport only to have us wait for hours. It was so late and we were exhausted and just wanted to be home. Stupid Atlanta airport!

    Have a safe flight!

    • That’s similar to what happened to me in Atlanta. First we missed our first connecting flight because we circles the airport 10 times and then sat on the tarmac (awesome) and then when we got a new flight it was changed at least twice — and not to the same terminal. We made our flight, but it was stressful!!

  2. Cutest thing today…seeing my daughter, Norah, play on the beach! I love the plain and grapefruit flavors of LaCroix so now I really want to try the Seagrams. Knock on wood…no real terrible flight issues here…but that probably just jinxed me!

  3. I am here to defend the fanny packs! I bought one the other day before going to Vegas for the weekend. It’s cute, black leather with metal studs so it looks rock n’ roll AND it’s from Urban Outfitters so I’m a total hipster now (right?). I figured that I’d be wearing a cross-body purse that falls at the same level but the fanny pack wouldn’t cause the boob separation/attention that the cross-body does. I love it! They’re totally going to make a comeback. :)

  4. I would say that my worst flying experience was both the two years when I lived in Alaska, more specifically St. Paul Island out in the Bering Sea. Because of rain, fog, snow, sleet, mechanical, crews not coming into work, over-booking, and other reasons my flights (over 20) were delayed and eventually cancelled. Many times I sat in the airport for over 6 hours waiting for details on delayed flights. And oh yea, only about half the time my bags came with me. True Story.

My worst flying experience was coming home from San Francisco.. we got delayed in Oakland for nearly 2 hours, thankfully, our flight out of LA was a 2 hr layover..then finally arriving in LA and waited another hour. When we finally took off, I stood more than 3/4 of the way home due to an bladder infection!! That was one long flight! Plus it was a night flight, so no sleep for me until we reach home! Ugh.. don’t want to do that again!
The cutie’s thing I saw today would be the sand bill cranes down by the lake, standing on the dock, flapping their wings!
Love the pictures of the kids.. they are growing up so fast.. Give them hugs & Kisses from me!!
    Have a safe flight home!

  6. My favorite new drink of the moment is ZICO Chocolate Coconut Water. It is so good and refreshing! And very good for hydration :) Happy flying!

  7. I freaking love watching people. They are so weird. Not me, of course. I’m normal. hahaha ;-)

  8. Once, my family and I were trying to fly out of Honduras, but it was raining so the flight was delayed. They made us wait ALL DAY in the tiny little airport just in case it stopped raining and they could start the planes again. After spending hours and hours and hours laying on the ground with a million other people, they decided that the flight would be delayed until the next day, so we had to take all of our luggage back and go stay at a nearby hotel that night. It was pretty much the worst…
