I have two very important running related items to share with you today – the first is a playlist and the second is a giveaway opportunity.
So, I’m running in a Half Marathon this weekend! Ack!!
Since I’ve been talking about this ZOOMA Race for the past 5 months, it should come as no surprise that I’m starting to get excited! I love point to point races — and this course looks awesome.
I will be leaving on Friday and heading up to Amelia Island with my friend Tracy. This is the first half that I’m running alone (I’m bringing Tracy as my personal cheerleader – as much as I’ve tried to convince her to race with me, she hasn’t given in. YET.), and while I’m definitely a little sad my running buddy isn’t joining me, I am also oddly looking forward to a few hours to myself on a race course. My strategy is to run as much as I can, but to also listen to my body. There are no time goals and no goals at all, really (except to finish!). There will definitely be walking and maybe, for the first time, even more walking than running. It’s a little hard to give into the walk – but in preparation I’ve created a walking friendly playlist.
There’s a lot of new music on here and I’m pumped up!
I’m also excited about the ZOOMA Mocktail Hour on Friday Night (yes, I have plans to be there!). If you’re going to be there – let me know! I maybe even let you rub the belly for good luck (<–I might regret this statement later).
