I need a vacation… this weekend has exhausting. Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration. I had a great weekend I just feel like it was just a bit nutty. I guess that’s what happens when you are away for two days.
L has dance on Saturday mornings, so we did the usual: For a few hours we “relax” (where the kids beg for food for 2 hours — it’s as if I don’t feed them?), then head to dance class (where B is bored out of his mind), hit the gym (where I kicked my ass thanks to Tina and it SO felt good to sweat!), and then we lunch at Davis.

After lunch, I realized we need to stop by Dick’s to pick up baseball stuff for B (his Little League had 20% off – that’s hard to pass up!). In case you were wondering, baseball is WAAAAY cheaper than dance any day of the week. Why is dance so expensive? We then fought traffic, got home and changed, and headed out to my dad’s place.

We hung out for the afternoon, ate Thai for dinner (once Dan joined us), and then headed home (waaaay after bed time). It was a gorgeous day to be at the beach. Sorry northerners.

Today we had big plans. SOMEBODY was getting her big girl bed!

Don’t ask me WHY I didn’t center her name on the wall 4 years ago.
I no longer have to make excuses on why my almost 4-year old was still in her crib (truthfully, it’s because she did not care in the least!), while she was THRILLED.

The project took a few hours to complete – as we (OK, mostly Dan) switched the furniture between the two rooms. Also good news: We ARE making some progress on the baby’s room. At least it’s less chaotic.

Most of that is clothes and gear. I swear.
We also managed to make it a killer spin class (endurance training is HARD y’all) and I squeezed in some food shopping. Sometimes (like today), I hate going on Sundays — but I always hate going after work on Mondays more!
And now? Filling out Pre-K registration paperwork (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?) and ramping up to watch The Grammy’s. This is apparently my version of rest and relaxation this weekend!
Did you survive Nemo? Who’s on your “Best Dressed” List at the Grammys this year? Do you hate Taylor Swift as much as I do?

LOL to that pic of B reading The Lorax with his legs crossed all like an adult. Hee. Also, Pants approves of that book.
I thought you were moving that big dresser into L’s room? Her room looks soooo cute! I would love that room…even now. hee

It is a good book! He cracks me up because he sits like that sometimes when he’s reading.
We were going to move the armoir into her room but decided to move the bookcase (from the living room) instead — and move the armoir into the living room because there’s more room. Yet more furniture moving. I would love to have her room too! And she did pick out of the hot pink. *so proud*
There’s a path in the baby’s room! Woohoo!!!
I love Taylor Swift. LOVE HER! She is America’s sweetheart, damnit!
Also, I want you to be my mom. And my personal trainer. You wouldn’t mind one more person to look after, right?

I’m just catching up on the Grammys now! Taylor Swift’s performance was a little off (both vocally and performance wise), but the 14 year old in me loves her. Kevin had never heard of The Lorax until it was a movie. Isn’t that sad?

Haha I love that she was still in a crib. That’s hilarious and I love your honesty.
At least I now know she won’t be going to college (or even Kindergarten) still sleeping in a crib! Ha ha. Thumb sucking is another story. *sigh*
PreK.. awww… I’m dealing with almost being done with PreK. (And after it’s over I have some clothes to send you.) In about 3 months my baby will be a kindergartener… WAAAAH! (On the positive, day care expenses will drastically decline and maybe momma can get a fancy car.)
