Somehow it’s Thursday. Why do I always feel like the beginning of the week creeps by, but then the end is all smashed together? Here are some things going on…
1. There is paint – on the walls – in the baby’s room!!

I swear this is actually progress.
Dan is a saint and on his day off, today, he painted the room (he also went to Target and bought a Dream Lite for L’s birthday present) . I know it’s really, really hard to tell there is paint on the walls – but swear to you, there is! I went with the color “Light French Grey” and it’s exactly what I was hoping for. Not too dark, not too blue. Just grey.

It’s going to look awesome with the dark wood and either turquoise/purple or turquoise/lime!
2. I had another Dr. appoint yesterday. I was going to do a baby update, but really there’s not much to update. There’s a baby in there still and he/she is getting heavy.

My coworker says I look like an anaconda who ate a large animal. She said yesterday that I’m now up to baby goat status. I assure you that no baby goats were eaten in the making of this picture.
The most annoying thing about the appointment was that one of the Dr’s was on call/delivering a baby and my Dr. took ALL of her patients. This meant that I waited an HOUR for my 5 minute check up. I was all stressed about being late to the appointment too (I ended up making it on time). I was NOT impressed.

That wallpaper behind me is pretty sweet.
Good thing I really, really love my Doctor.
Overall the appointment went well. I’m up a pound, my blood pressure was great, and I’m measuring “on target.” He found the baby’s heartbeat down low – which, along with the hiccups, helps confirm that baby is head down! Let’s stay that way baby. I have another appointment in 2 weeks – and then I’m switching to weekly appointments. I’m really trying to be low-key and positive about these last weeks. It’s my last baby and I know I will miss pregnancy when all is said and done. I’m crazy like that.
3. I am mother of year. School is closed tomorrow and I just realized this. Spring Break starts on Monday – and tomorrow is a “teacher workday” (aka – report cards). I only put those words in quotes because I know several teachers who are not working tomorrow. Thankfully, L’s daycare is open and they have room for B.
4. This makes up for me being mother of the year…

They are so silly.
5. I love Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s ridiculous and over the top and pretentious, but I still love her. However, I cannot support this.

For the love G, you are 40 years old. Put some damn clothes on.
Also – how is your wardrobe essential when it costs an estimated $450k(+). Yeah, that’s right up my alley.

OK, the anaconda line seriously made me LOL. You’re so funny — you’re just this protruding baby belly. Your co-worker nailed it with the description!
Yeah, E’s “teacher workday” is at the end of Spring Break, on the following Monday. Thankfully it worked out well this year and my dad will still be here so I was probably going to take off work anyway. But still.
I love gray walls. We painted our bedroom wall gray and that was almost 10 years ago now. I feel like I’m some sort of secret trendsetter. OK, fine, the rest of the room is in really crappy shape but at least I picked good paint. Yours looks great!

You are a trendsetter! Grey (gray?) is all the rage now. So much so that there are 800000 shades to pick from (seriously – not just 50). I am just SOOO relieved that the room is painted. Now the rest of the room has to be put together – but that’s kinda the fun part
The paint–so pretty! I love grey walls. Good job, Dan
I totally agree with the anaconda/baby goat. You are all baby up in there! Any feelings about what you’re having now that he/she is getting closer to arriving? (Side note: why do all doctor’s offices have that awful wallpaper? Even new ones???_
The kiddos are too sweet. I am mother of the year in that I forgot to feed Roo the other day before taking her to vizsland. Doh! At least your kids are fed

I still feel like this is a boy, but I’ve become more accepting of the idea that it’s a girl (because that’s what almost everyone else thinks).
My Dr’s office is actually building a brand new (gigantic) building – so I’m very interested in seeing what their design choices are! I know this one was built in the 80s and it feels like it. Lol.
Aww – you ARE mother of the year – I mean, you take her to vizsland! I’m sure she has lots of energy so you probably THOUGHT you fed her. Also – you wouldn’t THINK I feed my kids. Whenever we hang out with friends/visit family they pretty much eat them out of house and home (I think it’s the allure of being new food – but still!).
STOP with that outfit. Oh My Gahd. Never mind her ridiculously flat stomach.
Hmm, I kind of think you are having a boy too.

The outfit is just so unnecessary! How is that essential? Is Apple wearing it? Lol. I would love to have her stomach, although I DO think she works for it.
Yay another vote for boy
GWEN! WHY!!!
Also, you are officially the CUTEST pregnant person ever. You look freaking fantastic.

EXACTLY. Just not necessary!
You are tooooo kind! I still feel really good – of course, talk to me in a few weeks.
Your are the healthiest looking pregnant woman I’ve ever seen.
But I disagree about Gwyneth. She wears it very well. As long as she can, she should enjoy it.
I just don’t think there’s anywhere she could be going where she needs to wear an outfit like that! When you’re 18, maybe. When you’re 40 and have a 9-year old daughter? Nah.
First love the color of your walls. Can’t wait to see the finished room. Second, OMG you are too cute. No seriously, too cute. I hope I look that good when I am pregnant. Also Gwin! Oh boy that is one crazy outfit. Why why why!

I can’t wait until we finally get to pick colors/bedding for the room
I feel so lucky about getting pregnant and carrying all out in front!
And yeah – I wonder if she actually picked the outfit or if someone else thought it was a good idea?
1) LOVE the paint color! If we didn’t find out the gender I was leaning towards gray for our nursery.
2) I had to wait over an hour at my last appointment, too, and it took all of 5 minutes so it was frustrating. Especially b/c they always ask you to arrive 15 minutes early (I get there 5-10 minutes early). I think the new girl who checked me in forgot to tell anyone I was there.
3) You look awesome! Totally agree with your friend about the anaconda/baby goat thing.

Grey is apparently all the rage right now! I like that it’s very simple and I can pretty much order any bedding once we know if the babe is a boy or a girl!
UGH on waiting. I actually DID have to talk to the Dr. (they sent my bloodwork to the wrong lab!), otherwise I probably would have just said – I’ll be back next week.
And thank you – I feel amazingly good. I slept last night, so that might be why I’m saying that. Lol.
