Hope everyone had a great weekend! Can believe it’s July? Didn’t we just ring in the new year?? What the what?? I swear we did, even though for the life me I can’t remember what we did.
I wish I could say we did something exciting this weekend, but the biggest excitement was the new sprinkler thingy I bought the kids (who then complained about how “cold” it was — yes, we live in Florida and yes, they are crazy).
And the new “toy” I bought myself (for my birthday, umm sure).
Oh, and the many hours I spent watching Scandal. DAMN YOU SHONDA RHIMES.
I’m now completely hooked.
This week should be fun and um, interesting. Braeden is home with me so we are going on adventures! So far, so good. We went to the Orlando Science Center today and had some fun.
We followed it up by grocery shopping together. I let B push the cart so it was a big day. I came in from bringing in the groceries to see this…
Looks like somebody figured out how to stick out his tongue…
Dan has to work on the 4th, but will hopefully get home relatively early so we can still join in on some festivities together. Closing out the week is Braeden’s 7th birthday. How is it possible that I have a SEVEN year old?
Because of all of these fun events, this week’s menu is simple and EASY.
- Sausage and Arugula Pasta
- Farro and Beet Salad
- Salad with Peaches, Pecans, and Goat Cheese <–had this tonight. YUM.
Tastes better than it looks, I swear.
- Southwest Salad from last week (yes, it was THAT good, I have to make it again)
- Salmon, Rice, and Broccoli
As far as workouts go, I’d be happy to squeeze in 4 workouts again, like I did last week. Here’s the goal…
- Monday – Off
- Tuesday – Strength + Abs
- Wednesday – Run (hoping for 4 miles!)
- Thursday – Off
- Friday – Strength + Abs
- Saturday – Off
- Sunday – Run/Strength Combo
