I am a working mom of
two three, wife, instructional designer, daughter, sister, friend, family chef, and marathoner (!!!). I consider myself a lover of: books, food, wine, food, margaritas, television… and did I mention wine?
May 2013 – 38 weeks pregnant with Evan!
So here are the real details…
I’m a 35-year old from Orlando, FL who did not have an athletic bone in my body growing up. I was gawky and awkward. And I fell a lot. I mean A LOT. My crazy legs always got in the way. Somehow I became a runner. I’m still not 100% sure how that happened, but I’m embracing it. I thought it was a fluke, but then I got pregnant with my third baby. I ran until I was 26 weeks pregnant and then my body told me to stop. It was hard to break up and I missed it terribly. So yeah, I’m definitely a runner.
I have been married for 10 years to Dan (aka “the hubby”) and have
2 3 pretty amazing kids (Braeden – age 6, Livie – age 3, and Evan – my newbie born on May 12th, 2013).
I started running as a way to exercise after having L. Since my first race in 2010 – I have participated in three 5ks, one 5-miler, two 10ks, one 15k, 12 half marathons, and one full marathon! You can definitely say I have the running/racing bug. I also enjoy indoor cycling/spin (you might consider it my first love) and have recently realized that strength-training is a necessity to keeping myself healthy.
My intention of this blog is to capture a snapshot of my (sometimes way too over scheduled and nutty) life, as well as provide motivation to myself and (hopefully) others! My goal isn’t to lose weight, be the most fit, or the best mom alive – but to live life to the fullest. I hope you enjoy the journey.
