Welcome to 3 Things Thursday! Paula is the queen of 3TT (though, ahem, not today) and I feel like copying her. Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery, right?
1. I got my hair trimmed tonight. It’s the first time in ages it took less than an hour to do my hair! Just another reason why I love the color I went with.
My hair guy took off just the ends of hair and added a few layers. And you KNOW he had to round brush it out.
It’s actually not looking as bad now that it’s grown a little. It’s still round.
At least I now longer look like Nolan from Revenge.
And look — I can still do a ponytail!
Sorry – I cannot make that ponytail look cute.
2. I am currently wandering around the house in dress pants and sneakers.
What? You don’t?
I have been faithfully wearing my orthotics (saying that word still makes me feel like an old lady) before I run in them — and on top of that I got a new pair of stability sneakers today.
My first pair of Saucony’s!
I read about these from this lady (overpronators and heel strikers unite!) and learned enough from this lady (and a little Futurama) that I know I need to break these shoes in slowly. I’ve been waiting to run in my orthotics because my Mizunos didn’t feel supportive enough with the orthotics in (my orthotics make me realize how insanely high my arches are!). Sooooo…tomorrow will be my first run in both! I plan on starting out slowly – a mile on the treadmill before my sprints and then I’ll slowly add. My ankle IS feeling better, but I’m ready for it to GREAT! So far they feel comfy.
3. I’m going to geek out for a minute… I am re-reading Hunger Games and I picking up all kinds of things I missed the first time I read the book. I’m kinda a speed reader and time to skim, especially if things get too descriptive. Knowing that I will have a movie to compare it next month I really made myself slow down and actually READ. Who knows what I’ve missed in other books.
One thing that I’m loving this second time is Peeta. I admit, I was more of a Gale fan when I first read the books. But I’ve changed my tuned. I’m team Peeta Baby.
Let me clarify that it’s not because I’m sweet on Josh Hutcherson. I am 14 years old then him and if we’re talking logistics Liam Hemsworth (who is ONLY 12 years my junior) is more my type (and HELLLLLO Australian accent!). I just REALLY like that Peeta loves carbs. And Katniss. And tells jokes.
3 random questions:
Do you trim your hair when you’re trying to grow it out? What’s your favorite brand of sneakers? Team Peeta or Team Gale?
